Ok so everyone just keeps asking just how did Casey propose. Well I will tell you. Our date was amazing and unforgettable. But I'm sure that is what every girl says when proposed right? Anyways. SO the date began at 4:30 when he picked me up.
We went to his apartment first where there is a walk way thing and so we went for a walk. The day was pretty and it went pretty smooth. We walked through a garden and large beautiful trees and tiny but peaceful waterfalls. We saw some deer too at the end of the trail and when we walked back I'm guessing Casey was trying to buy some time and wanted to sit at one of the picnic tables. He wasn't talking much but I'm guessing he was very nervous right? I'm sure most guys are.
After our walk we went to Glorias Italy, an Italian restaurant, (we both love Italian) and had food. Who would have guessed right? lol. So after some yummy pasta Casey wanted to take me to ice skate but he didn't check to make sure if it was opened. It was pretty funny to watch him freak out a bit. He was confused and so was I because I didn't have an idea of why he was acting that way. So we played pool instead which I beat Casey 3 times. (Not really but you think he'd let me win ever so often!)
So around 8 he decided it was time to drive to a small trail up at the canyon behind the temple. Um I'm sure Casey was laughing on the inside because it was dark and I was soscared I just kept saying "What if an animal eats us?.....There's a monster and he is going to attack us..." and so on but he was very comforting. We had a flashlight but it was still pretty dark. When we finally arrived at the spot, we had sat at before in another date just watching the sunset and the temple, we leaned against a wooden fence quietly we just admired the view. The we sat on some rocks which wasn't all that uncomfortable maybe because it was in the moment (you know body is all numb...who feels anything!)
Conversation:
Casey: "Crystal what makes you happy?"
(I must say that this next answer might be cheesy to some but its my feelings DONT HATE....I didn't give it a long thought but I did wonder what would be the consequences to my answer...ya know)
Me: "What do you mean? Physically, Mentally or Spiritually?"
Casey: "Anything..."
Me: That's a hard one....but really Casey anything I do with you no matter how big or small makes me happy."
(To which caused this action...)
Casey: "I hope this makes you happy."
Me: "What?"
Casey: "I hope you laugh!"
So he stands up and stands me up... (stands in front of me)
Casey: "I love you"
Me: "I love you too"
*kiss*
So then here is the part he gets on one knee and says.....
Casey: "<my full name> will you marry me?"
Me:(of course) "OMG CASEY YES!!!
(Notice: There was no hesitation or even a pause I think!)
So he hands me a blue ring pop. (I had mentioned before that the person to propose with a ring pop was an automatic yes...I guess this explains the no hesitation right ;) lol)
I must say that I could not see anything but his shadow, but I'm sure he could see my face that's all that matters!
Well of course there was crying in my part but also laughing because I would see other girls and in movies where they cry when getting proposed to and I just thought it was weird and said I wouldn't do it.
Never say you won't because you just never know.
So we then went home, called and told the family. I'm glad everyone was happy. And I liked how the fam knew he was going to propose. I was the only surprised one, which is good right?
